What to look for in your driveway construction. A good subase (hardcore), the best is MOT type 1 as when compacted does not leave any voids. Over time when using a cheaper subase the sand washes into the voids and the area sinks. Under the subase a membrane is used,to prevent the MOT merging into the soil. All edgings are concreted in. With out in time the edgings will push out. !
